These look cool

Post by A-1 Boss »

www.therobocup.com I found a couple these at big 5. They just clamp on to the poles for drink holders or fishing rods. I bought 2. I like that you don't have to install or drill any holes. www therobocup.com

We got these https://www.whitworths.com.au/main_item ... lutePage=2 which are good for sailing (not from the store in the link though). But I like the fact those double as rod holders. How secure are they?

I picked up the Robocup and liked it so much I got another one. They work great and I know another fella at our club seen mine and then got a set for his. You can put your drinks, sun glasses, your hand held and etc. The nice part is you can move them around.

I haven't tried them in real life yet but for a fishing rod holder they seem pretty tight. The spring inside seems pretty strong. I don't think they'll hold up to a tuna strike if you trolling or something but I'll put them through the test when I go to Catalina.

I bought two last year from Amazon and have found them to be very useful. I wouldn't expect them to survive a tuna or large striped bass hit but they are awesome for drinks and hanging my binoculars and camera off of. I've clamped them to the arch, stantions, and my bimini. Very strong springs, very secure.

On my trip last week to Catalina the RoboCups were probably our most used item! We constantly had drinks in them, fishing poles, spearguns etc....I will buy 4 more so they can be placed all over. Thumbs up on this "no install" mod.
