Cutting a hole in bulkhead between laz and aft berth on an S
This is in relation to my earlier post re: AC, but I'm wondering if anyone has done this for any reason? Did you learn anything? I know there are actually two walls to go through - the laz bulkhead and the interior liner. I assume they are pressed against ea. other in this area. Is that correct? Also is there concern about weakening the bulkhead by putting a hole in it? Would epoxying a frame around the opening mitigate this? (like a header over and framing around a window in a house?) I do realize this would violate the vapor barrier between the laz and the cabin. The separate inside air and outside air sections of the AC unit filling the hole would maintain air separation for the most part, though likely not perfectly. Thanks for any input.

Hello
I understand that there were no responses to your post, and I just happened upon it today. I was wondering if you have started the AC install yet? Or maybe finished by now? I like the idea of it. Just curious what specific details you had in mind.
