Hi everyone !
My name is Alban, 50 years old, French, living in Paris.
Just sold my Trimaran to buy a 1992 racing macgregor 65 pilothouse.
I'll be glad to gather some tips/ thinks to know about that boat.
I am looking to polars to upload to weather 4D router...
Thanks !

Bienvenue sur notre forum Alban.
I believe you are the first 65 owner on this site. Where do you slip your boat? A bit too large to use on the Seine.

Re: Mac Gregor 65 Polars/ VMG
Welcome Alban!
Very nice vessel! I’m sure you will be enjoying her sleek lines and swift sailing characteristics for many years.
We have a section within this forum that you may enjoy going over the history and evolution of the MacGregor line of sailboats.
I’ve included the link below:
https://macgregorsailors.com/howitstarted.html
While, as may be expected, most of the forum participants are in the smaller/shorter under Mac65 category, which is to be somewhat expected given the thousands of vessels produced by Rodger MacGregor, we all share a common interest and passion about our well crafted unique vessels that are enjoyed literally around the world.
Our forum members are an eclectic bunch whose lives run the gamut of various professions, experience and capabilities.
Members here have sailed the Mediterranean, the Baltic, the Great Lakes, the Black Sea, crossing to the Bahamas, the Caribbean, the various islands of the South Pacific, the coastal regions of New Zealand, Australia, Hawaii, France, Britain, East & West coasts of the North/Central/South Americas, the Indian Ocean, Spain, Portugal, Germany, the Netherlands and many more locales. Some have undertaken incredible adventures traveling literally thousands of miles and trip durations measure in months (if not more than a year).
MacGregor owners are a plucky and creative lot who like not only sailing and cruising but also creative hands on problem solving for their individual needs, desires, development and skill capabilities. Differences are celebrated and admired.
I believe that you will find this forum interesting and enjoyable to participate with.
The same I believe will hold true for our members of what you share of your experiences and perspectives.
There is always more things in common within our differences to appreciate.
Your Mac65 is a unique, beautiful and special vessel that will hopefully take you to many beautiful and interesting places.
Welcome!
Enjoy!
Congratulations!
Best Regards,
Over Easy

I found this: https://macgregor.sailboatowners.com/ow ... hp?mid=160
I have no idea if they are still in existence
Now, if you do find an answer somewhere else, don’t abandoned us; we are interested in reading about your experiences with your Mac. Unlike some other sailing sites, here you have friends. Post photos.
