Cross posting a message from someone regarding an M19 he observed
Although we have never seen one up close, until yesterday, my wife and I had been considering the purchase of a used Mac19 based on some web seraches.
Yesterday, we were out on the Elk River (northern MD) and saw a Mac19 for the first time. We were in a P15 daysailor and found ourselves following a Mac19 in 5 to 7 knot winds.
It seemed that every puff casued it to heel over significantly and then it would round out.(I don't know the angle of the heel but it 'looked' severe considering the mildness of the wind).
Is this normal or is it possible that they did not have ballast in the tank??? I would appreciate any words of encouragement as my wife got cold feet over the incident.
Thanks, jdd

Help with M19 question
The 19 is a powersailor, and the original question was correctly posted in the Powersailor Discussion forum. The MacGregor/Venture forum is for older, pre-Powersailor MacGregor sailobats. The original thread is:
Mac19 on a heel, say it ain't so.
Please post replies there.
