Great, but wet, Memorial Day yearly shakedown cruise.

Post by Jesse Days Pacific Star 2 »

Spent a nice 4 days on Puget Sound this last weekend. A very wet and windy holiday. Ive posted 4 pics on my site at http://www.pacificstar.org/trips.html . Took many more shots, but I had a bad disk in the camera and was only able to rescue 4. The shots are from Bell Harbor Marina in Seattle. For those that arent familiar with it, Bell harbor is a great little marina right on the waterfront in Seattle. Leaving Sunday morning, the wind was blowing 17 plus mph, had 2 to 2 ft. chop with whitecaps in Elliot bay. Under those conditions, we filled up the water ballast and motored back to Shilshole Marina at about 5 knots. Left all the fins down and had great control. The Nissan was running at 2800 rpm.

This is our second year with our 2002 X. I am constantly impressed with how versatile it is. Next trip is the end of June, eight days on the Sound. Well visit Shilshole, Poulsbo, Port Orchard, and Brownsville.

Sounds like things worked out despite the wind and rain.

You lost some pictures but this might be what you looked like from a distance.
