Looking for Opie or others in Wilmington, NC

Hello,
I was trying to get in contact with Opie or other mac'ers in Wilmington. Saw opie's pics of Masonboro Island beaching and are itching to get on the water as soon as we feel we've learned enough to not harm anyone. We're very much novices and recently got a used M--could use some advice on ramps, good places to go and other local info.

May I first congratulate you on your new M. Lovely boat - I'm sure you'll have great fun. Please take a moment to check out NC Sail!.org. I think it will give you a solid start on local NC sailing with an emphasis on the Pamlico sound. It's a good bunch of folks too.
