Made some ventilation/bug hatchway screens.
I believe this material is used for making RV screen porches. Also looks similar to what is sold at Home Depot or Lowe's in garden section for greenhouses. (Which all means I don't remember who gave it to me for free.)
Measured and cut for a 1" seam all around ea. piece. Sewed by hand using 4 lb. test fishing line ('cause it's what I had.)
Hatch screen has 6 button snaps (from any hardware store) along the hatch rails (3 on ea. side) that just screw in after drilling guide holes. (Hatch slides easily past these.)
The screen at the doorway has 2 of these snaps at the top and a flexible piece of thick plastic across the bottom that holds the material in the grooves from top to bottom. (The original big, white one-piece door will still fit past these snaps if used.)
Front hatch had a card board template made then flattened out on the netting and cut in one piece... then folded where needed and sewn. I pushed a small but heavy chain through the entire lower hem that lays nicely in the groove around the hatchway.
