OK, here is my dumb question for the year, well the week anyway. I've been cleaning and prepping my 2001 X for spring launching and have noticed for the first time a strange length of clear plastic tubing protruding from the top of the starboard aft berth. Didn't measure it (Doh!) though it appears to be about 1 1/4 inches. What the heck is it?
It is the tubing which allow passage of the control and battery cables to the outboard, if you route them from the pedestal toward the back. The other end (outside) of the tubing should be located just to the right (starboard) of the outboard about 3 or 4 inches above the deck.

Interesting.
That must be an X thing because BWY installed my M's cables down through the pedestal (toothbrush style) under the cockpit floor and into the motor well.
That tube might be handy for running other stuff though.
I believe this is factory kit, Rich - I think my 2002 has this although in a slightly different location. Im sure there is an ISO documented change for the position of the hole on file in Brussels.
