My Macgregor Journey
Hi, my name is Mike.
I just got a 87 Macgregor 25. It's in rough shape, but not so bad it can't have new life put back in her sails. I'm coming on her in hopes to speak to others that have/had a Macgregor. I'm not new to sailing, but new to the Macgregors.
So, I'm just saying hi for now. In hopes that someone will say hello.
I will start posting pictures soon as the new Venture starts

Re: My Macgregor Journey
Welcome to the forum, Mike. Glad to have you here!
Can’t wait to see some pics of your project!
This is a friendly bunch, with a variety of skills and experience. I learn something almost every time I sign on and browse the new posts.
There are resources for your boat that you may, or may not already have. See the resource page. https://macgregorsailors.com/resources.html
Also, don’t be afraid to ask questions (try to post pics with your questions). When I first got my boat, one of the members here helped me correct my rudder downhaul/uphaul lines - that were totally rigged wrong when I got the boat. (Thanks Dave! dthiesmeyer)
Again, welcome!
Jim

Re: My Macgregor Journey
You have a great boat. The Macgregor 25 was "Sailboat of the Year" in 1975

Welcome a broad. I think the 25 is one of the best looking Macs. Looking forward to hearing more about the new adventure. Best wishes and feel free to ask around.
